Re: Gigs You've Been To
They're a pretty good band. I first heard iris years ago then checked out the rest of their stuff and realised I liked that too. Have a look on YouTube. Black ballon, slide, before it's too late and better days are some of their best songs. Collective soul have got a couple f good songs, one of those bands that was quite big in America but ignored over here.

Re: Gigs You've Been To
Probably a nice event with kids, Maaaarning, if the weather is good, with the circus areas and various fields. Not been for over a decade and can't see going again, though maybe take a little Carlos along sometime.Maaaarning wrote:Anyone else going to Glastonbury? it's my first one since 2011....and first one with 2 kids in tow
Off to see Braids (who are playing Glastonbury) at Norwich Arts Centre on the 27th. Quite like their stuff on youtube and a few minutes walk away.
Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Maybelline.

How was it, Maaaarning? Braidfs tonght at Norwich Arts Centre. Wartched 60 mins of England before going as on at 9.30pm. Small venue, though great, less than 50 people there, but some great tunes. A Carlos gig guide 7/10.

Spacemen 3 reforming and gigging, Higgins, would be the biggest and best music news in years. But it ain't ever going to happen.
Sonic is playing the Barbican end of September but already sold out: http://www.barbican.org.uk/music/event- ... 57&pg=9713

Hell and back.beingsoblase wrote:Iron mans back! Long time no post, how've you been?
I had 30 years’ experience of sailing on ferries including being in force 11 gales and have never had a problem with it. However, in June 2012 I stepped off a Rotterdam – Hull ferry and felt as if I was still at sea. I expected it may last a day or two, but after a months it was still there. I became worried as even walking in a straight line was difficult.
I spent hours walking around wondering what was going on. It not only affected my gait, but my brain as well. As I worked as a Laboratory Analyst accuracy was very important to me but I found that even the simplest of tasks was now beyond me. I then had thoughts about where this would lead as I now knew I had MdDS and there was no cure. I had thoughts of losing my job, home and everything I had worked for for 40 years. Suicidal thoughts began to take over and so on 9 SEP 13, I jumped off a bridge and was run over by a 44T truck.
I woke up in intensive car e and spent 4 months in hospital, followed by 8 months in bed at home, but the suicidal thoughts were still there as my sick pay would run out on 9 SEP 14. In the end, I was able to retire at age 56 and pay off my debts, and the suicidal thoughts gradually went away. I had no MdDS at all any more and have been on 4 ferry trips since and it has never come back. We have booked a cruise to Russia next year as I am not afraid of it returning again.
