On the contrary Maude I'm merely highlighting and publicising to the great wider public at large the progress and advancement of Matt's career in reaching such heights in performing live in front of twenty thousand at the world famous Madison Square Garden.fattmaude wrote:You're mocking Matt for performing at the Garden? Do you have any idea how prestigious that place is? The Americans love a funny Brit so it's great to see them enjoying his topical gags. Proving once and for all that Fordey displays huge crossover appeal.
I have constantly been informed on here ( and yes it may seem a long way off ) that 2105 is the year of the Fraud, so Fraudy at Madison Square Garden is a huge compliment and is definitely more than achievable given his superstar status and also by his worldwide growing reputation as highlighted in his question and answer session in that mass appeal and pinnacle of publications ,The Leicester Mercury.Appearing this year at Madison Square Garden and the Royal Variety Performance ? Quite frankly I don't think we should be accepting anything less and neither should his fans.Mousehouse wrote:On the contrary Maude I'm merely highlighting and publicising to the great wider public at large the progress and advancement of Matt's career in reaching such heights in performing live in front of twenty thousand at the world famous Madison Square Garden.fattmaude wrote:You're mocking Matt for performing at the Garden? Matt Forde has never played Madison Square Garden. Just to point that out.Basualdo wrote:"Crossover appeal" = Everyone hates him, and likes doing it.

LEICESTER COMEDY ?? FESTIVAL .......MEET MATT FRAUD.
Name: Matt Fraud
Age: 32
First show: I was very young, in my teens. It was in Nottingham and I had five minutes – I didn’t get many laughs ...........BUT THERE AGAIN SOMETHINGS NEVER CHANGE
Worst show: I’ve had a few. I died on my backside in Mansfield, a woman at the back of the room shouted, ‘give him a chance’ – I felt like she was my mum telling off the bullies. It was horrible, one of the worst gigs of all time.................AND THEN I DISCOVERED IT WAS MY MOM AND FOR SOME REASON ALL THIS HOSTILITY STARTING HAPPENING AT MY OTHER GIGS AROUND THE UK AND NOT JUST IN MANSFIELD.I THINK I'M HILARIOUS AND A GREAT IMPRESSIONIST BUT I FOUND THE MAJORITY OF AUDIENCES DID NOT FULLY APPRECIATE THE COMEDIC QUALITY OF MY ACT AND THE ENORMOUS TALENT I HAVE AND THAT LED TO THE HALF A DOZEN OLD PEOPLE WHO WHERE THERE, JUST WALKING OUT ON MASS.
What do you if people don’t laugh: Soldier on and get on with it. You should never make it awkward by stopping........I TRIED STOPPING ONCE AND D' YOU KNOW IT ACTUALLY GOT MORE LAUGHS BUT SERIOUSLY I FIND A MUCH BETTER SOLUTION IS TO AGREE WITH THE AUDIENCE , WHO ARE MUCH MORE CULTURED THAN I AM AND IF I HAD TO WATCH AN ACT AS BAD AS MINE I WOULD START BOOING ALONG WITH THE REST OF THEM.
What’s the worst thing somebody has heckled during one of your shows: I don’t usually get heckles .........AFTER DOING MY ONE AND ONLY IMPRESSION OF ED MILLIBAND ,I HAVE USUALLY GIVEN UP AND LEFT BY THEN OR THE COMPERE AND A COUPLE OF HEAVIES HAVE FORCEFULLY DRAGGED ME OFF STAGE
If you could be any other person for the day, who would it be and why: .......MY OLD BOSS TONY BLAIR BECAUSE HE IS SO LOVELY AND CUDDLY AND BENEATH IT ALL I AM JUST AN INCORRIGIBLE SYCOPHANT
If you were stuck on a desert what one item would you take:..........A BOOK ON HOW TO BECOME A PORTER AT RAILWAY STATIONS , BECAUSE QUITE FRANKLY THAT IS WHERE I SEE MY FUTURE EMPLOYMENT. '' MIND YOUR BACKS PLEASE LADIES AND GENTS, MIND YOUR BACKS.....''
The big question has to be asked just how much longer will the now big fish Forde want to stick in the little fish bowl that is talkSPORT now he's approaching superstar status on the comedy circuit and on television?. I can't see him sticking it for very much longer as far bigger things lay ahead for this comic genius that has made impressionism his own with that unique style and wit.cyrilthewasp wrote:I have constantly been informed on here ( and yes it may seem a long way off ) that 2105 is the year of the Fraud, so Fraudy at Madison Square Garden is a huge compliment and is definitely more than achievable given his superstar status and also by his worldwide growing reputation as highlighted in his question and answer session in that mass appeal and pinnacle of publications ,The Leicester Mercury.Appearing this year at Madison Square Garden and the Royal Variety Performance ? Forde doesn't just do impressions in the normal way everyone else does, his takes offs are so good it's uncanny, he paints pictures in the audiences minds with his voice so accurate and precise a lot of people walk away at the end of the show thinking they've been listening to the person he was taking off.
Last week the 02 contacted Forde to ask him if he'd be interested in filling a slot there in July as they've had a cancellation, (Bruce Springsteen has had to pull out) .. he turned them down saying the place wasn't big enough for him now, this boy's future ahead is mindbogglingly bright and to be frank I think we could lose him for ever once America hears about him and that'd be a tragedy I know many will agree.
We lost John Lennon to the US, we lost Tom Jones and we lost Piers Morgan WE MUST NOT LOSE MATT FORDE.
