Re: The fall of UKIP - part 1
Did people notice how the Kippers were upset at how the broadcasters including the BBC audience treated Farage during the Election leaders debates? They were accused of bias and rigging the audience. This had happened after Farage had said that people from abroad with HIV should not be given asylum to Britain.

What else is there to support them over now? They have to look towards widening their political scope in the event of a UK exit from the EU to stay relevant.

The Fall of UKIP
I know there's a few UKIP supporters here
Thoughts on new leader Paul Nuttall?
Some of his (slightly worrying) policies below.
Supports fox hunting
End the smoking ban
Denies climate change
Opposes gay marriage
NHS should be privatised
Referendum on the death penalty.
Opposes abortion
Just keeping the seat warm until Nigel is back in a few weeks?

I suspect UKIP will tear itself apart. He's got a mammoth task just keeping it together, let alone growing it a a party.
The likes of Hamilton, Carswell & the NEC have destroyed the party from inside.

Re: The Fall of UKIP
The media in unison saying Labour need to worry about Paul Nuttal. Labour's problem is their own lacklustre leadership.
No sense in picking a leader who couldn't care less about winning elections & then wondering why voters view Labour as an irrelevance.

Ironically the worst thing that ever happened to UKIP was being on the winning side of the referendum.Steve Hunt wrote:He's the best choice out of a poor lot, PG.PG30 wrote:I know there's a few UKIP supporters here

Imagine how much the party could've grown if it was a small remain victory.

Re: The Fall of UKIP
End smoking ban for establishments that don't care; yep, for example if a local pub wants to allow smoking fine. If the pub next door does not want smoking fine also.
Look for alternatives to NHS; yep,I see the NHS in a similar light to the European Union, great idea that isn't functioning anywhere near as well as it should be. Sort it out.

UKIP leaders seem to have the longevity of Wolves or Villa managers.

Re: The Fall of UKIP
I think there's a fair chance that today may well be a turning point in UKIP's fortunes Steve, - although I doubt nuttall would be hugely successful in a general election, I reckon he could well see some by-election wins in the coming few years if he lasts.Steve Hunt wrote:He's the best choice out of a poor lot, PG.PG30 wrote:I know there's a few UKIP supporters here

Re: The Fall of UKIP
Sounds the perfect scenario to me, - let nuttall mend the bridges and relinquish leadership to Farage in time for the next GE.Ralph wrote:He's leader until Nigel Farage wants the job back.AlcoholBrazil wrote:UKIP leaders seem to have the longevity of Wolves or Villa managers.
That's if Farage wants it, which is a big 'if'.

Can't see anything worrying about any of those policies actually , and I must tell you that most people wouldn't either. All that is needed is the right leadership and possibly a new name to do great things for the countryPG30 wrote:I know there's a few UKIP supporters here

UKIP has done its job...... just as the Green Party did years ago.
Once were out, they need to fold.

I might have done one - not sure but possible.
