Agreed. Woolfe did surprisingly well. He gets nervous. Did you see his hand shaking when answering a question?

The Greer woman was insufferable. Imagine being stuck in a lift with her.
I must admit I didn't notice that he was nervous, - not a trait conducive with politics unfortunately.
I was pleased to see that he got the message across that we are still paying the EU £millions each week until we actually leave, - which should shut up those who ask where the 'promised' money is for the NHS.
So the NHS will be getting the money when we leave?

That's okay. So long as it makes you laugh that's a good thing. They say laughter is the best therapy and if anyone needs therapy it's you. Just enjoy it - you haven't got to understand it if it makes you happy.
It's also good that you join in too. Again, you haven't got to understand what you're talking about but it's good practice in forming sentences and talking to people who aren't your carers.

BBC attempts to stack Question Time audience with neo facist EDL members.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/10 ... get-engis/

They tried to resuscitate Nick Griffin's flagging political career. Now it seems they're trying to promote the EDL.

So if you're against neo facist groups being given special treatment by BBC Question Time you're against free speech.

BTW it's a Conservative MP who's undercovered this & is (rightly) demanding answers from the BBC as to what exactly they're playing at.

I know this has been watered down at this stage Ralph, but free speech is really absolute , and I'm afraid that must include neon fascist groups as well as everyone else if you want it to work.

Why were they given special treatment ? The BBC invited them to apply for ticket. I didn't see anywhere of promises of special treatment, nor have I seen any reports of EDL individuals making any comment or contribution on the show itself. If they did, so what ?

Because (according to the local Conservative MP) they were contacted by a member of BBC staff & asked to apply to join the audience. No other group or political party in the area was contacted in the same way.

Assuming this Conservative MP has his facts right, why is the BBC anxious to give a neo fascist group like the EDL special treatment? Utterly bizarre.

Because despite what many on here allege they take the issue of balance seriously.
Where they can they try to provide a QT audience that represents the balance of views of the public.
Except of course, according to Roy and co when one of his idols drops a bollock again.

Well, it's possible to find a biased audience very easily , but how would you go about finding an audience with a balance of views ?
You couldn't of course, because most people have varying views on varying subjects and unless there was an identifiable common factor, like membership of a political party or a religion you wouldn't know what their opinions were.
In the example given above we can see how easy it is to bend the tone of the audience.

Which is why the BBCemploys a specialist company to find the audiences.
One which has a profile of our population by age, education, occupation, opinions and political preference.
To prevent exactly the kind of audience manipulation you allege.
In the end they can only create an audience within the limitations of location and date.
And by the way, on Any Questions also.

And of course this company can and does achieve this successfully . Not just window dressing or anything ?
I really wish you knew the way people fiddle the systems they pretend are guarantees against fiddling. I can't understand how this universal aspect of human behaviour has eluded you.
Didn't you notice that everyone from your schoolteachers and other pupils to your colleagues today had ways round everything and a variety of fiddles .
Surely a gullible scouser is an oxymoron ?

We all know there are ways these things could be manipulated.
That is not the issue.
The question is whether they HAVE been.

Well bias is in the eye of the beholder I suppose.
One mans manipulated output is Dr. Goebbel's informative programming.
