Big sprawl, no real heart. Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Malibu, Santa Monica all a disappointment.

Other better places in California

San Francisco
Big Sur
Carmel
Monterey
San Luis Obispo
Santa Barbara
Laguna Beach
San Diego
Lake Tahoe

Else where

NYC
Boston
Florida Keys
Smokey Mountains/Blue Ridge Parkway
Carolina islands
Florida Keys
Sanibel

Fair comment Hillman, we're going to 4 states over the month :)

Just having a hard-earned break during his Durham days.

I'm sure he drinks the occasional strong black coffee between the constant stream of VBs.

Awesome motors.
I was looking for one as a project car ages ago but just not economically viable

problem with classics is they are going up faster than our bank balances, it's sickening

over here there is a good choice, but i am not too enamoured with yank metal

i have a 64 buick wildcat with 340 bhp...nice cruiser, 2 door hard top, i have an immaculate nissan 720 king cab from 85, an 89 s-cargo, having got rid of two, a chev avalanche now for sale, a shite jag x type 3.0 that came as a deal with summat else, a 73 mercury montego wagon with fake wood sides, a 73 vw variant / squareback with twin carbs, 75 911s targa, 69 912 targa, 2000 911 triple black carrera 2 cabrio, 05 audi tt 3.2 dsg, a 96 vw eurovan diesel, plus other crap and bmw wagon as my daily

the porsche myth...loved em, the history, the racing, everything about em

my 75 is agricultural, but rides well, i got a low km 911 (996) at the weekend just for a change with a view to shifting my tt...but, build quality crap compared to tt, 0- 60....hardly owt in it, 911 is stick shift, audi has launch control dsg, top end, 155 v 175 mph, but no roads here where you can safely go 150 plus, and dibble impounds ur car if you go 40 km#h above the limit, 911 floaty front end, jittery, audi all wheel drive, planted, audi good mpg, 911 crap mpg...not saying 911 is shit, for the money, it's good, but it aint special, might try a 997 and accept coupe editions of 996 will be better but gap between the tt and 911 is negligible, bit of a let down, so much so that driving wife to work, i have a new (to me 911) and i prefer to take the bmw wagon

taking some inc 912 to qualicum show in june

in bath now, but off for breky and taking 911 up to gold river to see how it feels, but hmmm, no spine tingle

912 2nd june....will report back and will include some pics, it's a 69 targa, in blue, 5 speed, 5 dial, currently on webbers but going back to original solex, no speed queen but balanced
