I have quite literally just booked it now mate.

Wednesday November the 5th will be the day...bonfire night. I would love to round up a few of this thread's goaders and doubters in my new car and stick them on top of a burning pyre once I pass with flying colours

And I would have thought the Yorkshire Fire Brigade would be busy enough that evening.
Mind you, that Shaun Wright would make a terrific Guy on the bonfire.

Yes mate. Though I gather he's fallen on his sword at long last today. An utter joke of a man from a joke of a town. End of.

Any chance of getting Fordey to sponsor your first motor?

Maybe a decal of his face to put on the bonnet?

Good luck for the fifth.

Hate to break it to you but I'm mid 20's mate. So speak for yourself, I am in no way 'old'.

How did you fare anyway? Did you pass first time? Do you have any tips for me? :)

Hate to break it to you, but "mid" 20s is old for a learner, mate.

Anyway yes, I passed first time. My only tip would be do as I did, move to a country where the standard of driving is so poor that it is virtually impossible to fail.

Australia is a great country in which to drive, in my experience; but Maude doesn't like to venture outside Yorkshire, so it"s a non-starter.

can't remember if i told you this before maude, but my attitude when i took my driving test was that the examiner wasn't going to give me a test, i was going to give him a goddamn driving lesson!
good luck for the 5th.
