People don't buy into any of it, the PR for every party is awful, the meet and greets with the great unwashed more cringeworthy than ever, uninspired speeches and leaders with as much vision as fucking Stevie Wonder.

Too many stage managed events. No real meet and greet the people up close and personal. At least John Major was out and about on his soapbox in 1992. Do you think David Cameron would do that? No way.

All parties have a safety first strategy. Fine for them, boring for us.

We need a Prescott punch moment to liven things up.

Be nice to see Farage get a slap. Although I think the biggest hit he'll take is on election night when UKIP make fuck all progress.

A few seats for them. Less than five, according to most commentators.

It's like the Lib Dems last time around. Plenty of people mouthing off about how they're going to vote for them but when push comes to shove they'll get a drubbing

What they need is something really outrageously stupid and see through like Milliband and Russell Brand having a chat about things, now that would really spice things up...

It is the worst I can remember. And one we are all likely to end up more shafted than any other.

Like I say. I can see politics being such a farce at national level one day we'll be grateful for the EU to run things rather than the SNP and Labour when most don't want them but end up with them.

Yep, you tend to forget how shit the last one was until you see the next one.

Lib Dems did rather well last time around. ''Clegg Mania'' - following the TV debates - helped get them into government.

The Lib Dems made a net loss of parliamentary seats in 2010.

What got them into government was public disillusionment with the main two parties and the resulting hung parliament.

This is one of the better ones. The old Tory/Labour stranglehold has been broken. We've had 'the most dangerous woman in Britain' and Big Nige to liven it up. Election night will be fascinating, such fine margins.

Results night will be good, Dr. The campaign's been tedious, IMO.

It’s even less inspiring in some areas.
In Blackley and Broughton [Manchester/Salford] Labour is defending a 12,000 majority.
The Conservative candidate, Michelle Tanfield-Johnson, who lives in Wisbech, is not doing any campaigning in the constituency. She is apparently standing as a candidate for the experience!

I shall be working that night at a count. No big surprise expected where I'm working but there will still be a buzz with results coming in from elsewhere.

If I sent you a few quid in the back pocket could you slip a few hundred UKIP votes in the box for me, Doc ?

Well Piers thinks so, and he is one of the biggest cunts ever to walk the planet. He's nailed it here though.
