something comforting in hearing intelligent men commentating on great sporting effort. As opposed to shouting and screaming total fucking nonsense you'd hear down any local pub.
Fred Kite: I've got to be off. I can't stay here arguing. I've got a lot to do. Report to the Executive, check up on the pickets.
Mrs. Kite: From what I can see, the only time you ever jolly well *do* any work is when you're on strike.

Steve Redgrave and John inver dale had an on air spat. Inverdale called Redgrave oddjob . Redgrave shook a wet umberella over inver dale. https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/1602457/r ... ing-golds/

Carc, it would hold more water if you knew how to spell the commentators.

Carc, I want to hear your views on Mark Foster? Isn't he from up Norfolk *whistlesound* way, or maybe it's Essex? I agree to an extent though, a bit like the shitey co-commentators in football like well, take your pick, but let's use Michael Owen as the prime example.

Inverdale is actually alright. Well, he's not, but compared to Chappers, he is a broadcasting legend. And as much as a wee naff he is, he's at least well-educated on the subject he's dealing with.

P.S Do you think Inverdale and Redgrave are straight to bed after the BBC shift? Or venture in to the Rio nightlife for a beer?

I'd take one Scottish silver over all these GB medals, TBH.

Team GB stuff gives me the boak, but good luck to them all, they all seem nice people.

Brendan Foster? How old is he now?

Say 'The Olympiccccc(s)' you'll say it with his Geordie (sorry Doug, if he's not but it all sounds the same) twang.

Seems stupid as the UK encompasses the lot, but Great Britain misses out NI and you have to add it after.
Don't always believe what you think, because sometimes its' a load of shite
