BoJack Horseman

I just started watching this at the weekend.
Has anyone else watched it?
Its addictive as fuck.

The first few episodes are slow but worth sticking with to get dragged into the BoJack universe.

Hes a 50 yr old ex sitcom star living off the past glories and money of his long running 90s show 'Horsin' Around' about a horse who adopts 3 orphans. Along with his slacker mate Todd a junkie who lives on his couch,
his agent and sometime lover a cat called Princess Carolyn whose current paramour is Vince Adultman who is 3 10 yr old boys on each others shoulders under a long trench coat and hat who she met when they came into a bar to try to buy some beer,
Diane Nguyen his memoir ghostwriter who he is in love with but who is married to his friend the likable but dumb labrador, Mr Peanutbutter who had an even more successful sitcom in the 90s 'Mr Peanutbutter's House' a show which shamelessly ripped off 'Horsin' Around' and was about a likable but dumb labrador who adopts 2 orphaned black girls,
And Sara Lynn, who played the youngest adopted kid on his show who is now 30 and, well, Lyndsay Lohan-ish and who fucked BoJack ragged after a mutual drug binge and photos of which are being used by two paparazzi to blackmail BoJack and failing miserably.

Two memorable lines,

BoJack expressing his dislike of another celebrity, "Hes a fucking asshole! I hope he gets caught in an ass factory fire and dies by being smothered under a fucking pile of smouldering asses!

Or the exchange which made me think of here, at the funeral of the writer of Horsin Around when BoJack and the ones who played his kids are together for the first time on 25 years. The eldest kid who is now living in London and has affected a British accent.
Actress : "Oh BoJack, dont be such a cunt."
BoJack :"Jesus, Jo-elle! "
Actress :" Oh BoJack, dont be such a prude. We Brits say 'cunt' all the time."

I'd recommend it. Its pretty funny.

Yeah, but I think it was shown on one of the satellite channels too earlier this year, where I didnt see it. Somewhere like E4, Comedy Central or Sky Atlantic, somewhere like that. I know that I saw it advertised anyway.

3 episodes in on S1 and enjoying it.

The quirks of the animals are great. Some great lines too!

Will definitely stick with this.

My cousin was on about this show the other day funny enough. First heard of it then. Might give it ago. Loads of shows to watch that look good and people say to check out. Yet still haven't.

Archer is worth a watch as well if like that type of thing. This scene still amuses me.

The Boondocks is also a good show if that that type of thing as well. Both different and different from Horseman there but give them ago as well if never seen them before. The last season of The Boondocks is pretty poor tho. Not sure what happened there.

Well in to it now, on ep 7 of season 1 and it gets better and better.

Loving the not-so subtle jokes e.g Mr Peanutbutter's car having a load of tennis balls in the boot, and the David Boreanaz epsiode "He's been in such shows as Buffy, and eh, I think, eh, let's just say New Girl'' ;)

Progressing in to a story line too.

On to Season 2 and it is getting better and better.

Not sure about Todd - don't know what he offers really and isn't particularly funny. Feels like he's just filling up time, and has been done before.

Have to say I quite like Mr Peanutbutter quite a lot. A lovable fud.
