Eddie The Eagle 8/10

Not seen a film like this for a while, but really enjoyed. What a hero Edwards is. Must be my time of the month or something as I found myself having to clear my eyes :  even though the film is a feel-good flick.

The new Turtles film. Surprisingly very good, and a rare occasion where a remake tops the original.
April (Megan Fox) refused to be a red-head. Well worth a watch .

The Lobster. I highly recommend.

Midnight Special. You have to watch this. I get the Holly machine for sequels and regurgitation of old movies. But this is decent shit. From the director of Mud. It only made 3.5m at the box-office but it's fucking decent.

Bone Tomahawk.

Good film. Had never heard of it and just give it a go. Glad I did. Didn't know what to expect but didn't expect it to be as good as it was. Rare a film can do that these days as most are poor and bore me easy.

Well worth checking out.

Saw Spotlight. Bit of a slow burner, OK really, No great moments but a serious, fare reaching topic. OK movie. Great to see Michael Keaton after so long.

10 cloverfield lane.

Nice fritzl style abduction movie with an apocalyptic theme. Really good until the last third when it turns into something else entirely obviously leading to a sequel.

Notin's rating

6/10

Brilliant performance by Keaton, if a little pretentious.

Watched that new Fantastic Four the other day. Thought it was an interesting film..a dark and moody sci-fi movie and an interesting take on the FF origin story. The problem is it didn't feel like a superhero film let alone a Fantastic Four film. In places it was almost like a horror film tbh.
I think it's well worth a watch.

Have been to the cinema just once in the last two years, but watched Bridge of Spies and The Lady in the Van on the plane the other day. Other than that a terrible selection of films, so watched Partridge non stop.

I posted it n this thread what the worst film ever made was.

I had just watched it on TV in the early hours and simply had to post up the evidence.

Can't remember what it was called.

I want to see a film called Kill List but it's not on Sky. :x
