Perhaps the most unwelcome and irrelevant break of it's type in recent history from an England perspective. To the extent I felt compelled to start it a week early.
England after a typically shit Euros campaign have a dinosaur as the new manager with it's World Cup qualifying opener against the powerhouse Slovakia. Only thing worth talking about it who'll be captain.
Our Welsh, Irish, Scotch and Norn friends, what are your hopes for next week?

After the latest disaster, these should be flushed forever. We should give up entering any football tournaments. Plus there should be bpl matches every night of the week. This country is CUNT

We will hopefully get a good suntan in Malta and come back with a deserved 1-0 win over these giants of World Soccer

That horrible cunt Rooney will be scrounging around for a few cheap goals from the penalty spot like a thief nicking car stereos.

3pts will do fine, Lawnsy. 0-1 and hopefully Wunderful Burke after his 15 million move will score the winner.
Although it'll be too hot for Scots in September and that'll be our first excuse if we don't win.
Tough games for NI, Eire and England - all away and Wales should get the ball rolling with a win at home to Moldova.

With Raheem and the boy Wiltshire in their prime, and Wayne geared up for his swansong, I predict great things for this England side.
I strongly advise all my talkFORUM pals to lump on Sam's boys at RegBet.

Wilshere dropped from the squad which shows only 5 changes from the Euro debacle

Michail Antonio called up. Probably only a matter of time before Noble, Cresswell and horror of horrors Carroll are parachuted into the national team too.

Surely the key is to play players in form and not on past glories.kancutlawns wrote:Michail Antonio called up. Probably only a matter of time before Noble, Cresswell and horror of horrors Carroll are parachuted into the national team too.
Ie Drinkwater and Antonio in and Wilshire and Barkley out.

Exactly, my point is that Allardyce may go back to his former club and feel more comfortable getting players despite West Ham starting to hit a bit of bad form.

Well it's not really as he's only picked one and he's on form scoring goals.kancutlawns wrote:Exactly, my point is that Allardyce may go back to his former club and feel more comfortable getting players despite West Ham starting to hit a bit of bad form.
Noble and Defoe were both going to be picked and they haven't been.

Theo Walcott.
What is the point?
Are we suddenly to realise after all these years that counter to the evidence we have seen with our own eyes he is a poor man's Darren Anderton?

It's about time someone had the balls to pick the players who are playing well, not those over hyped by the media
Good to see you're still with us BTW, heard about the Everton fan passing at the game

Very sad indeed, Henry.
I witnessed the whole commotion from half the ground away and thought at first there must have been a bit of trouble or something.
It soon became apparent someone was in trouble when the medical people started clearing the area around where the unfortunate fellow was and began attending to him.
RIP.
