The official Scottish Football thread

Post by kevin04 »

Aberdeen beat the Saints today, 4-3 to go level at the top with Celtic - who have a game extra, but both teams are on 55 points.

The disappointing thing for most Dons is that they have beaten Celtic twice out of the three meetings so far this season, and after a magnificent start - they were the most inform team in Europe at one point, badly went off the boil in October - November picking up 1 point from 15. They have not lost a league game since the 31st of October.

Can they do it? I don't know, probably not, but it's certainly keeping the interest up.

We had two amateur teams left in the Scottish Cup. Linlithgow Rose and East Kilbride. Lithy went out today to Ross County 4-2, and Celtic will play East Kilbride in a glamour clash tomorrow.

Things are heating up in the 'Championship' ( :x ) as well with the Hibees right on The Rangers tail too.

'Pub league'! Watch your language! Roll that video tape.

Rangers surely cannot fail to return to the SPL.
I remember Fergie's Aberdeen breaking the Old Firm stranglehold in the early 80s bringing a breath of fresh air to Scotland.

Would love to see Aberdeen do it, solely to piss off Alan Brazil and listen to his garbage excuses.

Back on topic, would love to see The Dons win the league although I have to admit I've not been following it much.

+1

Good club.

My missus cousin's lad is one of the stars of their youth setup. Was wanted by Celtic but they didn't want to do the travelling or move.

Sweet left peg on the lad, plus he's half-English so I do my best to convince him he's the answer to our long standing left side problem :)
