I bet Derby fans are thrilled,

Why do these perpetual losers continue to get jobs in football?

He wasn't wanted back by the fans having caused a load of trouble with people at the club last time. I had thought he'd become totally unemployable. Astonished really.

Did a fine job at Newcastle. No wonder they appreciate the Spanish waiter.

He's always came across as completely deluded and a little bit simple. I don't think he's ever pondered his past shiteness for one second.

LOL, I bet the derby players are wishing they had pulled their finger-out for 'pyscho' Pearson now. Derby may get a brief new manager bounce, but then they will drop like a fucking stone.

McClaren gets a slightly unfair reputation. He was hopeless with England and Newcastle but he went abroad and won a title, got Middlesbrough into the top 7 and to a European final. I couldn't see a Warnock, Bruce, Sherwood doing anything close to that and they are almost universally praised and approved in the media and would "do a job" at clubs like Derby.

I do find it surprising that he's gone back to Derby given his last year in football and the way he left them. No doubting he improved them massively before but it's a risky choice.

He always gets labelled 'a great coach on the training pitch' by pundits. I'm amazed the FA didn't approach him to take over from Southgate after we lose to Scotland.
