2 clubs it seems who have developed themselves and risen up the pyramid from the Sheffield / Hallam League recently and been promoted into the top NCEL division quickly.
Why the big crowd - Was it non league day?
My old club Burgess Hill Town (played in their reserves early 80's) who are currently top of Ryman 1 South (Step 8 - one above the NCEL) have a home attendance of c240 and have done since when I played when they were at Step 9 in the Sussex County League.
But on non league day, when they offered free admission, they got a crowd of 770!

I won't bother discussing football with you as people from Wigan only watch Rugby League.finchman wrote:This is the type of response you would expect from a pothunting Manchester United fan from Halifax.Sadact7 wrote:Excellent.

Finchy. The fat twat has never been a football fan, likes pies though. Can spot a pie shop at 100 metres on his mobility scooter.

Was a local derby. Aquaforce top of the league Athersley 5th plus disillusionment with the professional game. Promotion means Unibond league, a big step up. Pissing it down and still managed a good crowd. Barnsley is a big football area, unlike pouffy areas such as Halifax

Is that the best you've got? You're almost as cutting and witty as "Finchy"cahill wrote:Finchy. The fat twat has never been a football fan, likes pies though. Can spot a pie shop at 100 metres on his mobility scooter.
2/10
Btw, if you can't see a shop from 100 metres get your eyes checked. HTH
