A mix of economic malaise, neo-colonial interventions in foreign conflicts and lands, with an ensuing refugee crisis has hit the people of Europe pretty bad. And it's been presided over by a decadent, corrupt and arrogant centrist bureaucracy in the USA and Europe. With the lack of a strong far left voice railing against this, people are finding the opportunity to voice dissent by voting for radical right wing figures.

It's not an endorsement of far-right values, but a repudiation of the centre.

And of course the rapes and murders don't help matters . I wonder how Cologne will prepare for the next New Years Eve .
