Yeah, haven't heard much about him for years, but I do hope he cheered up a bit before the end.

Not really saying much though, is it?

Justin Beiber & Bryan Adams being his only competition.

There's a certain market for completely depressing lyrics and Cohen was the undisputed master.

Ashamed to say that Leonard Cohen was another who stayed under my music radar, - never really listened to much of his work until today.
My loss, which I intend to make up for.

Leaves the way open for Phil Collins though, doesn't it?
Actually, I used to play the guitar a bit myself. Do you think I should try putting some of Hillman's posts to music ?

No. I'd seriously avoid introducing anything Hillman posts to the already traduced masses unless you're using it as subject matter for how easily they are willing to be traduced.

Hillman's knocking on a bit now so is easily mollycoddled into accepting what is put in front of us as the best accepted norm. Unfortunately those with their lives ahead of them have years to realise it's that last thing they want. Young people are now literally on the border of saying unless the job they could have had goes to a foreigner they are racist for taking it, purely for the indoctrination they are fed.

It's noticeable how the world view is iterated by people only from comfortable positions.

Parry summed it up perfectly

Very sad Leonard Cohen has died .. RIP .. and no disrespect but his "music" was so maudlin it must have bored many others almost to death

Never heard a note of his music/ songs and I'm embarrassed to say I was a little bit confused as to why they were calling him a singer/songwriter and not Spock.

Just had a look on you tube I have heard that Halleujah track didn't know it was him though. None of his other stuff rang a bell mind.

But don't listen to too much Leonard Cohen or you'll go mental. It's the road to clinical depression and possible suicide.
