Someone else check out Yoko Ono's sound tweet reaction to Trump's victory. I just heard it on the radio and... well.... um... :?

I thought it was quite good - but don't know if it's supposed to be pro or anti.

After months of the usual lazy "boo hiss Trump" material the Last Leg was actually very measured. Have I Got News For You was fairly cringe though. Though nothing more cringe than the clip of Cookie Monster wearing a poppy.

35 second mark onwards in the 60 minutes interview clip - It will be quick, no waiting period. It will be repealed and replaced. Trump says twice it will be repealed and replaced.

He said he will try to keep the good parts. And it won't be called Obama care...that is near dead as known as that.

Don't really see the problem here TBH. Getting rid of the nonsense bits and keep the decent bits. Smart you ask me...but then you didn't ask me did you!!! But you get the point dude.

Good to see Trump employing common sense as is clear from his statement. This was one of the reasons people voted for him he said the things normal everyday people could understand made sense.

Like let's shut the door to muslims until we understand what the hell is going on All this at a time when suicide bombers and mass shootings were happening all over Europe.

So him saying let's keep the good parts is nothing but good governance which highlights how desperate his opponents are to have a go at anything whether it makes any sense or not.

He's having to tone down his rhetoric. Will he follow through with his pre-election pledges? Will he try to wriggle out of them and will he suffer a backlash or will he blame others?

    Well this is a surprise.
George Galloway almost sounding like he's endorsing Trump.
    http://talkradio.co.uk/news/george-gall ... 1611116562

Of course he's not but he , even as a confirmed hard leftie Galloway has nailed the reasons why Trump won. This is good stuff as at last the ridiculous divide of tribal voting had met in the middle and we now have a platform to agree with each other on certain issues rather than it being through the worn out means (in this country) of voting for labour or conservative.

Not so much Trump hysteria but interlinked no doubt.

This newspaper is more like toilet paper. Only read two articles - well read them is not fair....flash read but enough to know that my heart goes out to anyone who reads this trash and believes it.

I only buy newspapers at the weekend, ie when I have more time to actually read them. They're more of a lifestyle thing for me: food, reviews, interiors etc and I could never take the opinion pieces too seriously or use them as the basis for my worldview. Lots of cringey articles in the Grauniad today but nice recipe for homemade ricotta so it's all good in the hood :smt023

To get Britain to get away from E.U will take many years will it take for the USA has deal from at least twice as many countries and will take more than 2 terms.

Internet has eveything you need without buying any papers. But each to their own and some people still look the idea, feel of a newspaper I guess as well.

Kindle and audio books are OK but a book is always better. You have the sense to know that papers are full of it. I like to think most know this now as well but still buy them for reasons as you said.

I don't agree with Galloway's politics but he can on occasions talk more sense than many others and put it all so eloquently as well.

Besides whoever's arse he kissed, it doesn't make what he said any less true. He's also pro Brexit on the grounds he sees the damage uncontrolled unskilled immigration has on local jobs, so in that respect I am glad to have him on side as much as Len McClusky who said much the same thing.

I'm also delighted to see the left able to agree with the right on issues that our normal party politics divides us.
