Good question, warm.

It does seem as though the tension is mounting up, though.

It's probably just sabre rattling or as Bas would quizzically say "willy waving." It gets everyone on edge, gets the messianics very excited. As warm said, nothing would be gained by any party dropping a nuclear bomb and with the Ruskies, the eastern wind after a strike would blow the radioactivity onto them and render the entire continent barren for the next century or so. Far better to have everything as it is now as the politics of fear is far more potent. The killery scaremongering is reaching new heights here though which is pretty hilarious.
