Do you trust the Mainstream Media?

Not sure how to do a poll on this forum. If anyone can and wants to then do it by all means.

The question is in the name of the thread. A simple yes, no or not sure would work.

Me I trust them not one bit. I am not alone on this either it seems.

Not really. I try to keep my news sources as varied as possible in order to see stories from various angles. Every media outlet has its own agenda, and for its own reasons.

Don't trust anyone...
It rather depends on what's being reported, where and how long ago it happened.

In terms of sports scores and X factor results, yes. Anything that actually could make a difference, no.

Pretty sure there's only one on here that would say yes to that question.

Yeah , where IS Hillman ?
I'd have thought he'd have been on here supporting the average speed cameras in the other thread too .

Actually, it's a serious and significant fact that most people no longer trust the media to tell them the truth or be unbiased. It's not a bad thing though, because it's a measure of how many people are waking up and that means that the time of the globalists and their media echo chamber is growing short.

I do hope Hillmans okay. Maybe he's got a box set of old Michael Foot speeches and he can't help watching the next one or something.

You can't go wrong with the Daily Mail for a balanced view. Polly Toynbee is the Spawn of Satan.

I mean, nothing wrong with random outbursts. I often do them myself, but can't you make them a bit longer so we can have a bit of a read ?

That sounds potentially very interesting - any snippets to back that up?

Welcome to the forum by the way.

I don't trust the media - I prefer to go by made up bollocks I read on the internet.

Facts? Who needs them?
Proper journalists who can hold people to account? What's the point?

2016, eh, it's faaaaaaaaantastic.

America in 2000: 65,900 reporters,128,600 PR people
America in 2015: 45,800 reporters, 218,000 PR people

Who needs facts, just give us the spin.

That's true. That's why it's generally less rewarding, secure and attractive to be a reporter these days, that and reporters being targeted for trying to expose war atrocities, government wrongdoing and corruption. Far easier to sit on the internet mocking others who read the papers then being a Politkovskya who had bottle.

Why should I watch a dysfunctional prick on YouTube who lives on the fringes of society to get my news as opposed to a trained journalist who has the capability and experience of reporting? Can anyone explain this to me and why I should COMPLETELY ignore mainstream news in favour of uncorroborated, dubious tittle tattle?

Don't think it's all black and white. I'm sure there are aspects to what's reported in the media that you do trust.
