Yes, it's true that before signing with Disney as a cartoon politician Corby had a hard time getting work in the media. He did many jobs in this period and also appeared on the BBC show " Dragons Den" with an idea for a machine which would iron clothes for his comrades in a cubicle at the Labour Conference.
Unfortunately it didn't catch on because most of them wear dungarees off duty,and even when they wear suits they have no concept whatever about having them cleaned and pressed

This was a tragic period for Corby in many ways, during which he temporarily fell under the spell of a female political puppet called Dianne Abbot, and it's all in an illustrated biography currently being written by John Craven.
