On the Andrew Marr programme, he said the following about leaving the EU "What there wouldn't be is the wholesale importation of underpaid workers from central Europe in order to destroy conditions, particularly in the construction industry." Do you not think that immigration played a large part in the Brexit vote?

I do. Sovereignty was my main issue, but I suspect that a lot of people, especially in working class areas, voted in the hope that we would regain control of our borders.

Labour have merely tapped into this sentiment, as have the Tories (who talk tough, but do fuck all - presumably to keep their big business supporters on board)
