Even then it's only ever been in this forum, and sprung from spiteful and stupid individuals who haven't ever done anything with their lives and so find it implausible that anyone else might have done.
The fact is though, young man, that my grip on reality is a strong and effective one which has very often been fortunate for those who lack the courage as well as the physical and mental prowess to look after themselves in the real world. I've got the scars and decorations to prove that, as well I believe, as the respect of those whose opinions might matter to me.
Unlike many , I like people and that is why I seek to encourage higher thinking and personal progress in those who might seem on the face of it to be condemned to mediocrity and disappointment - people who many would simply write off.
I have had some success in this down the years, but it is an unfortunate fact that many losers are that because they cannot overcome the limitations of their mean spirited nature and fear of standing out from the crowd .
If you want to be bloody rude that's your choice. It's a bad decision because if I did choose to reciprocate I'd eat you for breakfast.
Incidentally, I was noting the anti Semitic nature of socialism and that Hitler was in fact a socialist as an argument against socialism, and since we're being so frank, that should have been perfectly clear to anyone who speaks English.
Now, if you've decided that you'd like to join the ranks of the plain abusive keyboard warriors that's entirely up to you, but your opinions will consequently hold far less credibility to the objective mind.
It seems that you cannot distinguish between good manners and weakness, and that's very often a mistake.
For the time being I will continue to treat you with courtesy, and you might even reconsider your position, but if you'd prefer a slanging match you go for it.
Breath taking arrogance.
Coupled with the painful ignorance betrayed by the canard about Hitler. You clearly know so little about the rise of the Third Reich that you don't understand the use of the word "socialist" in the name of the party. Hitler, like socialists. hated the capitalists. But that is the only commonality. One of his first acts as Chancellor was to imprison all the leading socialists at the time.

The OTHER socialists.
I'm pretty certain that I know as much about it as you Hillman, and I really wish you wouldn't do that crap.
It's not really a very effective argument to suggest that the other person is ill educated in order to explain and diminish their view of the matter. Haven't you noticed that its not working for the machine politicians any more ? The success of Jeremy Corbyn , which is the subject of this thread, is surely evidence of this.
It's a perfectly reasonable and supportable view that Hitler was a socialist, and one held by very many people. You are entitled to take a different view, but not to state it as if it were a proven fact in the hope that the casual observer will thereafter believe this to be the case.
I'm not sure whether you understand that this is a deliberate tactic adopted by the Alistair Campbell school of propaganda , or whether you just picked it up through mimicking politicians, but again it doesn't work fore them any more, so it's not going to work for you either .

You know , I'll say this for your benefit and someone else's too. If you actually believe in something which you think is right then there's no limit to your argument if there's no limit to the truth you speak . If the ideals which you seek to further are limited, then so will be your arguments for it, and all you are left with when these arguments run out is name calling and spinning the facts.

He will only be considered a success if he wins an election, which I highly doubt will happen.

What exactly is Corbyn proposing though.

Borrowing shitloads more money and hoping for the best, it's hardly radical and extremely dangerous,

We all know the welfare bill will go through the roof, he'd also allow a huge amount of refugees in which would cost a fortune and put pressure on housing and increase the risk of extremism.

No doubt taxes would rise and anyone highly skilled would leave pretty sharpish. these socialist/Marxists don't seem to understand free movement

It all sounds like a nightmare, I can;t believe he has so much support on this site.

No-one apart from a few hard left students and ex-sociology students really want this do they?

He's a career politician and has never had a proper job in his life. He's not a man of the people, he has 3-4 pensions and his government pension is worth millions.

He was one of the most disloyal MP's in Parliament and his supporters are castigating the PLP for not showing loyalty to him. Well they wouldn't be would they? His attendance record is terrible and has preferred to try to help the Palestinians than help his own constituents. As if he, a backbench MP could have made any difference, he's either very arrogant on extremely deluded. probably both

This is the man that when he could be bothered to turn to vote. voted against the Good Friday agreement, The Bosnian War and The Falklands war.

Took money from the Iranians to present a poxy hate-filled piece against the Israelis. Ignoring all the human rights abuses committed by the Iranians on a daily basis.

Will not condemn the IRA, Hezbollah or Hamas's disgusting terrorist activities but wants to prosecute our troops.

Condemns NATO, an organisation that has help keep peace since the Second World War and also stated that he wouldn't take action against Russia if needed.

Wants to put non-nuclear weapons on nuclear submarines, even though it would be totally pointless as they wouldn't work properly.

He's never going to be PM, if he makes to the the election every paper on Fleet Street will release more information on his and McDonnell's activities with the IRA during the troubles which will destroy them.

Could his supporters on this thread please tell me what is so appealing about him, he just seems like another snake oil salesman to me. Promising utopia even though there is no such thing. There is no money tree.

Excellent post Kow.

The bottom line for me with Corbyn is that we all know what we will get with him. Basically everything you've listed above. What we'll get with other lefties like Smith is ..exactly what you've listed above , but he's apparently electable.

That the problem though Lawnsy; Labour won't get into power until they do listen to their traditional supporters. A few hundred thousand "Latte Labourites" do not represent the electorate.

They don't and they won't. He's leading Labour to electoral oblivion, good riddance.

That's Baroness Chakrabati to you.

Seriously though, what a farce. She headed a supposedly independent report into anti-Semitism just a few weeks ago. Now she's in the Shadow Cabinet.

The reshuffle just more evidence that Corbyn has no interest in trying to win an election. As long as he remains Labour leader he's happy to have permenant Conservative government.

Well, there's so much tension in UKip and Labour. Maybe a good UKip/Labour ruck is what they need :)

Why can't labour settle their differences like men in the way that UKIP have ?
If there'd have been a cage fight between Corby and that Welsh idiot , people might have taken more interest.

Assuming that puts both out of action, Diane Abbott is 200/1 (Stan James) to be the next Labour leader.

Well, they tell me that if they get much more desperate they're going to ask Hillman.
PMQs would be great - imagine the pm answering a question and Hilly jumps up ans starts calling her names and assessing her " self awareness ".

This is one of the those mysteries I just cannot understand and Wigan is one of dozens.

What will it take for grass roots Labour voters to realise the party has ditched representing them and now puts all its efforts into transforming the country with multiculturalism and promoting stupid equality bullshit no working class labour voter I know would ever believe in.
