This kind of stuff will become increasingly common simply to show how tolerant we are of intolerance when it's rooted in Islam. Try the same intolerance anywhere else, where Islamic values are not involved, and the paramilitary police will move in with an over the top show of force just to outline how we won't tolerate intolerance of other people's culture.
We have a hand up our back Sooty would be proud of.

Re: Multiculturalism - part 3
I heard about that earlier today, - apartheid in britain in the 21st century, and clearly encouraged by the odious party.Kowalski wrote:Senior Labour politicians Liam Byrne and Tom Watson 'attend segregated Muslim rally'
Senior Labour politicians attended a rally where Asian men and women were apparently separated along gender lines.
UK Independence Party leader Nigel Farage said the event, which was attended by Liam Byrne and Tom Watson, was rejecting “a century and more of advancement for women’s rights”
Just when there should be less pandering to that vile religion, it is clear where a labour government would take us over the coming years.

This is very worrying . This will only encourage the "give an inch ,take many miles " groups like CAGE to grow even more, Jihadi Cells and Trojan Schools.Roy Twing wrote:Just when there should be less pandering to that vile religion, it is clear where a labour government would take us over the coming years.

Multiculturalism
Why is it that only nations that are predominantly white european have to be multicultural ? It seems that japan, china and many African nations are allowed to be racially homogenous . Is it wrong to want to preserve your own culture and traditions ?

The guilt complex that is forced upon the lower classes. Slavery only benefited the ruling classes , so why are the plebs the ones asked to feel guilty about it, and
not the aristocracy. So we let other nations shit all over us because of our Imperial adventures in the past.

As per the OP's comments, - are you saying that the likes of Japan is a multicultural (or more accurately, multiracial) country?
Also, to state that this country was multicultural/racial back in 'Roman times' when comparing it with the present day is like comparing a few people with a slight cold to a full blown pandemic.

Japan is host to immigrants from China, South Korea, Brazil, Europe, Philippines. Not to mention the countless American troops still stationed there.

Japan may not have the benefit of a completely enlightened society, but the aforementioned migrant communities are surviving and now able to make their own cultural contributions to the places they live in.
The process is starting:

Good point, - few would regard a second generation anglo saxon, born and living in Japan as being 'Japanese', no matter how much the PC would splutter otherwise.Kowalski wrote:The Japanese tend to believe that their immigrants are not Japanese. The Tick wrote:The point being that it is not a totally homogeneous society, as claimed by others.Kowalski wrote:The amount of ethnic minorities in Japan is much smaller than the UK.The Tick wrote:Japan is host to immigrants from China, South Korea, Brazil, Europe, Philippines. But Japan is moving at what is probably the natural rate, not the artificially engineered rate inflicted upon much of the rest of the industrialised world.

'Enlightened' - this country?
Japan's xenophobic and rabidly nationalistic instincts have been harder to crack (not least because they were never subjected by American occupation to anything as thorough as the de-nazification of Germany).
But with an ageing population and uneasy economy, Japan can ill afford to rely on racial inertia for prosperity.

There is a natural rate, and it had worked fairly well until the last couple of decades.
That you think maintaining control of national borders, and only enabling those who can benefit the nation to enter, is xenophobic, says much about you.
Japan is, and will remain, in the top 3 largest economies of the world, and unlike the UK, actually prospers because of genuine productivity, and not the dangerously false and short sighted 'house of straw' method of a vastly growing population to increase GDP.

Japan has a deficit, Japans has an enormous national debt and this 'prosperity' is because there are no immigrants to speak of.
Interesting.

I was responding to a post that suggested mass immigration is the only way forward, and that control of one's borders is 'xenophobic'.the rotary club wrote:Japan has a deficit, Japans has an enormous national debt and this 'prosperity' is because there are no immigrants to speak of.

The UK has a massive deficit; the USA has a massive deficit, - what's your point?
