Not as far as I am aware in the Tory party- but in any event, certainly not in the Cabinet,

Hang on - some of them have been missing for over a decade, meaning that labour lost them.

396 people that have not re-offended ? or certainly a large percentage of that.

I remember a guy phoning in to a radio station about his son who was 17

The lad had a 16 year old girlfriend, according to the dad she was a lovely girl that had been to their house many times. Eventually they had sex, her parents went mad because it turns out she was only 14, she'd lied to the lad and his family about her age.

He got prosecuted and put on the S.O.R

He was studying for A levels at the time as he wanted to be a teacher.

No chance of that now, his life is totally ruined.

Well if he's dead then there is not much point in putting him on the SOR.

I am led to believe that being put on the SOR led to his suicide, however you dress it up, its sad that happened.

Well, Christ knows. I never expected to see this on this thread. Maybe I should visit the political threads more often.

The company that is leading the way in police privatisation is part owned by Theresa May’s husband and is now offering to save the police £1 billion a year to fill back office police jobs.

FFS. Imagine what we'd say if this was going on in some banana republic. Exactly the same thing is happening to the NHS. These privatisations aren't for our benefit.

Indeed.

It's not so much a case of "we are all in it together" as "some of us are up to our necks in it" , Ralph.

Meanwhile:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-34875077

Police cuts expected to be announced in next week's Spending Review may "reduce very significantly" the UK's ability to respond to a Paris-style attack, Home Secretary Theresa May has been warned.
The advisory comes in a restricted document prepared for Mrs May by one of the UK's most senior police officers.
It says the ability to mobilise large numbers of officers would "reduce very significantly across the country".

Looks like cuts to the police etc will have to be deeper than previously expected.

Another day, another fuck up:

The Home Office has been criticised for failing to complete a project to boost UK border security - despite spending at least £830 million on it.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-34988913

How she gets away with it is a complete mystery to me.

One of the first thing Theresa May did as Home Secretary was agree to big cuts to the Border Agency so you'd think she'd be extra careful not to waste the money they do have.
