RAF Action against IS in Iraq

Post by shabbado »

I see that it's being reported that the RAF have launched two sorties against IS targets in Iraq.

'RAF jets fired four missiles at Islamic State (IS) vehicles in Iraq overnight, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) has said.

It said two Tornados had fired Brimstone missiles at an armed pick-up truck and a transport vehicle west of the Iraqi capital Baghdad, adding that the strikes had been "successful".'

Dual node Brimstone missiles cost upwards of 100k a pop.

In this time of austerity wouldn't it be more prudent to drop say...rocks on the IS Toyota pick up trucks than a 100k missile?
A joyless arsehole

Don't worry, Shabs.

According to HJ, everything is fine and dandy economically wise.

Of course UK national debt is at a record level and a false bubble has been created in the run up to next May, but hey, chill bro, who cares? At least the armaments industry will do well!
If Arsenal were playing in my back garden, I would draw the curtains.

I suppose if we've already bought the missiles we may as well use them. It is rather irritating I agree and what's even more irritating are all the sabre-rattling old ex-military cunts like Sir Richard Dannatt who has interests in arms manufacturing companies. Fucking cunts, the lot of them.
Fred Kite: I've got to be off. I can't stay here arguing. I've got a lot to do. Report to the Executive, check up on the pickets.
Mrs. Kite: From what I can see, the only time you ever jolly well *do* any work is when you're on strike.
