Socialists Lose Control of French Sénat

Post by therealHJ »

French Socialists and their leftist allies have lost control of the Sénat to the right-wing parties. Also a significant milestone for the Front National who win two seats, their first in the Sénat.

Looks like Hollande's socialist policies are going down well with the electorate

Am I wrong in saying that Milibrain is an admirer of Hollande's policies? One of which was/is to tax 'the wealthy' at a rate of 75%. I think I may be correct in saying that a fair number of well off French have come to London and are now buying properties, not as investment but to live in, Gerard Depardeau was so cheesed off he moved 300 yards over the border to Germany.
don't think France's economy is doing Ll that well under Socialism either,
Sent from my Advent Monza S200 so bloody old I can't remember when I bought it

Depardieu went to Russia and Putin welcomed him with open arms, he then ends up in Belgium (Depardieu not Putin) where I think he might have dual citizenship. If there was a general election today Marine Le Pen would get to the second round of voting. Sarkozy's on the way back but some of the hopeful UMP runners and riders for the next Presidential election aren't happy and trying to block him.
