well here's the truth. back then, just as now, even though we arebtalking about different incarnations of the sexual offences act, it was a crime to touch a women sexually without her consent. which part of that is bonkers? or the PC briagade gone mad? or any of the other fucking excuses that people wheel out in these threads.

guess what? if you touch a women sexually (overtly, covertly, secret fetish) and she does not consent then that is a crime. some may be more robust than others and quite possibly would laugh it off, but how dare anyone suggest that the default setting for any victim should be to just get on with it.

some on this forum have no doubt been exposed to victims and i for one have seen the lives of victims, who have had even 'less' than a body part touched, turned upside down and inside out.

everyone is entitled to an opinion, however all i would ask is that people do a little research before they make sweeping comments regarding what is and isn't acceptable.

Well one bint came forward to the Police last night to claim he has attacked her in the 70's pre teen..................seems a bit out of character.

I don't even think these groping cases should go to court, its way too strong the laws in the UK as I said before, if you come here and go to Benidorm for the night its a free for all, what is the difference ?

Doesn't matter where it happens.
Consent is the point.
If you are some big cheese I suspect the victim is intimidated about complaining or arguing at the time. If you listen to them, they often are so shocked they don't put up much resistance at the time.
The law is NOT too strong, the range in the sentencing guidelines allows for that.
