old cars, sold my 91 c2 into calgary, and have an itchy triger finger, always hoverin on bring a trailer, just lost out on a nice 911, but factorin in import duty from states, shite canadian dollar and shite uk pound if i pay with that, then the cost in getting it....i am at a disadvantage

just love road trips and old cars, i wish i had enouh money to literally go car hunting all the time

i tend to keep for a while, here there is a law about flipping...it's illegal

oh, another thing...in BC, you have to pay 12% tax on a used car...i kid you not

had our first snow on mt washington last night, weather rainy until march, van isle is a rain forest....just makes me want to head a sount

probably said it before but if you have an hour, watch american nomads on youtube....that documentary makes me want to travel

hopefully heading south in 1969 targa, solo trip before xmas if i et wifely permission

My wife and I have been travelling in the States and Canada since 1996. Can't get enough of it, even though we have come to the point where it's a bit difficult looking for new areas in USA, plenty still get to see in Canada though.

What you do sounds brilliant, the road trips so interesting, and I'll checkout the youtube.

##it's definitely addictive, I love travelling, but have developed this awful habit of covering distance, driving thru places, and trying to see as much as possible, but diluting the experience

i love hot springs, old breakers yards etc

i live on vancouver island, so it's a boat to go anywhere but access to the west coast is basically one hour plus the ferry

canada is a let down, lovely where i am, and good until u exit the east side of the rockies...then prairie land, it's amazing how there is literally nothing to see or do compared toamerica, but all that separates is an imaginary line

i'm pushing for permission to go on a trip south, i5, oregon coast, my shasta, palm springs and loop back via the interior....do i go in shit old 69 porsche, camping and motels, expensive....truck and trailer, bring a car back, but no driving fun, sleep in truck, or take wifes car, hjetta tdi estate, 50mpg, reliable, but dull, or my estate, old merc 320 , smooth, but thirsty.....then, where do i go?....my last three trips have been 15000km....in total.....i don't care for cities, prefer smaller towns and just love the scenary and history...

if i won the lotto, i would be on one mega road trip in cool old cars with fit young birds at every destination

where and when is urnext trip?

Only been on East coast Canada, and never been north of San Francisco, so might do a trip northwards of that area on that coast Oregon/Seattle. Autumn tour in New England also sounds good
