Bumping this old friend. Another charity shop pillage. More books, got the final Stieg Larsson 'Millennium Trilogy' effort, all charity shop buys, must sometime read and a nice 2016 guide to Washington DC for 50p. Add in a coktail shaker for £2 and a nice shirt which was a hefty £6.

Seriously considering going for fake grass, Bas.

Sick of bloody mowing a moss/weed ridden lawn that looks shit no matter how much attention I give it (I live in a clay area). The next generation fake grass is really good now. One of my mates had it laid this year & it's pretty impressive.
If Arsenal were playing in my back garden, I would draw the curtains.

I have thought of that but it's still very dear though. Even my small back garden would cost well over a grand to do + labour. If was a third of the price, then I might seriously consider it.
It wasn't my idea to buy the lawnmower, I cannot abide gardening or anything of that nature, but my wife calls the shots and tends to all that stuff and our old mower is as old as my daughter and just as useless. I got it now because it was on offer due to it being off season and the leaf blower was a basic cheapo one thrown in. I love the leaf thing though as our tiny front garden gets innundated with leaves from trees that line the street and the garden path and pavement in front gets dangerously slippy in bad weather.

Indeed. It refers to the inhabitants' teeth, and the thin green slime on their squat misshapen bodies.
