Only really got into watching the current series as was roped into it by Mrs Lawnsy. Let's be honest, we're paying about £25m to watch a series about how to bake a fucking Victoria Sponge. The Beeb who are supposed to be cutting costs have Mary Berry and that bearded twat and presumably a gaggle of TV crew, baking advisors, managers and assorted spare johnnies running around making themselves look busy. Get a proper job you cunts!

Now we've got Mel and Sue up in arms that the prospective bidder C4 aren't going to take them on with their disgusting sexual banter. What the fuck's it go to do with them? All BBC will do is take vast amounts of money to film people doing up their downstairs bog, sell them to a commercial TV station and then go onto to make a series about teaching baby orangutans to present radio sports programmes. Well that happens already.

I've only seen a few episodes but it seems an ok show for those who enjoy those kind of shows, it seems competently made etc.

Someone on 5Live just said that Mel & Sue and Mary Berry won't be appearing on the Channel 4 show. So with a new team it'll be another failure like Top Gear was. When will TV people realise that the presenters ARE the show, sexual(or otherwise) banter included.

I don't get it. Why is their such a palaver about Mel and Sue and Mary Berry fucking off from their BBC contracts and Hollywood moving to C4. Wouldn't the producing company find their own staff and presenters anyway?

Can I just put it out there that I can't stand Mel and Sue anyway? Particularly Sue who turns up on BBC all the time (probably because she's a lesbian). Mary Berry's really old and probably wouldn't have many more series anyway. Load of upper middle class BBC bollocks. That said I've only watched one episode and I'm probably not the target market
