Just opened a can of this, and have to say it's lovely and taking off quite well in Scotland.
Anyone got a good beer or drink to recommend? Get it in here.

Chekov Vodka. But it must be served at room temp. and purchased from an off-licence from the most economically deprived area of your locale. It must also be drunk neet.

I have a soft spot for Alan Brazil's favourite tipple, Amarone.
But for special occasions a vintage Bordeaux is hard to beat.

Wem Ales from Shropshire used to be the bollocks if you've got a palette for proper beer. If you like a decent pint of traditional beer that's still cloudy with yeast, that's yer one.

Prefer draught but so far I've only found one pub ( a fullers pub unsurprisingly) in Brizzle that does a decent pint of it!Reg wrote:I drink that.Sid Pervcat wrote:Fullers London Pride is lush

Re: Recommend a drink
i always used to drink light and bitter, but hardly any pubs stock bottles of light ale any more.
Working men's clubs still do though - and fortunately there's one near my house and one near Selhurst Park.

Re: Recommend a drink
Luckily got an Adnams 'Cellar and Kitchen' shop not far from mine. A lot of unnessecarily expensive kitchenware, but fabulous selection of beers and wines. And err spirits.Salem wrote:Top , top shoutCarlos J wrote:Top man, Henry. Love an Adnams.henrycrs wrote:You'll go a long way to beat a pint of Suffolk's finest, Ghost Ship

Re: Recommend a drink
Even better fresh and cask conditioned from your own barrel, you can get a mini cask or party barrel delivered to your nearest Fullers pub (free) or home (for a fee). Delicious but you need to let it settle for a day or two before drinking.Sid Pervcat wrote:Prefer draught but so far I've only found one pub ( a fullers pub unsurprisingly) in Brizzle that does a decent pint of it!Reg wrote:I drink that.Sid Pervcat wrote:Fullers London Pride is lush

Morrisons sell it in a lot of stores.
Hawkshead from lake District comes close.

Good man Sid.
Indeed it is pricy for cans, but in recent times, I've found it on tap in some pubs in my neck of the woods (Greenwich).
