Posting this feels familiar but I can't find a thread that I have started prevoisly so apologies if this a dupe thread.

Over the past few years I have become a bit of a fat bastard. At the end of April I topped out at 277.7 pounds. Spoke to the doctor and instead of discussing diet and exercise I was offered gastric bypass. That pissed me off no end but It flicked a switch in my head and decided it was time to change my life.

My employer pays 50% of Weightwatcher monthly cost so I signed up and bought a Fitbit. Wow the Fitbit has changed my life. I do 10,000 plus steps a day and my Fitbit motivates me to walk, exercise etc. A number of my team have Fitbits so the challenges also help.

Weightwatchers has helped me to make better food choices and I haven't had fried food or processed food since the begining of May.

I am now at 246 pounds and it feels freaking awesome. Typing this post as I am out walking pushing my steps up to 15,000.

Several months ago I was laughing at all the idiots walking around with Fitbits and now I am a convert.

I travel a lot with my job and for the first time ever I am using hotel fitness centers, pools etc.

My weight loss is getting harder but I am determined to push down to below 220. It's a great feeling to see all my clothes becoming to big for me and having to buy smaller sizes.

If you want to lose weight I highly recommend you buy a fitness tracker and start walking. Plus Weightwatchers works.

What's even better is becusse I have lost more than 5% of my weight my employer will reduce my health insurance premium and reimburse my weightwatcher premiums in full.

Well done mate, nothing like seeing the pounds coming off to spur you on. Great support from your employer as well.

10,000 steps is about five miles, so you are getting through over 7 miles a day which is excellent. Keep it going.

There's no o in warmleatherette but I still get called warmo sometimes, it appears o's and ster are interchangeable, doesn't pet call you zamster sometimes?
