Usually have them with a lovely piece of fried cod, fried chicken, chicken nuggets, chicken steak, a meaty battered saveloy, fishcakes, battered scallops or fried sweetcorn, even turkey but just never with roast chicken. I'm certainly not anti roast chicken, just never had it with them.

The chippy back home sprinkle it as dust post-frying. The first few chips are alright in a 'oooh interesting' sense, but then you just want normal chips.
