I've a Wax cotton jacket iuts been in the rear footwell of my car and has got a bit mouldy.
I'm considering putting it in the washing machine on a thirty degree wash, can anyone tell me will it work and get rid of the mould and more important will it fuck the washing machine up ?

Don't do it!!!
You have a couple of options dependent on the brand and how much you paid for a jacket..
If it's a Barbour then you can have send it back to them for a clean/ re-wax. You can also but their wax online if you want to DIY.
If it's a Belstaff then I doubt you would have left it in the footwell of your car, buurt if it is, there are specialist cleaning companies who will give it a clean.
If you are cost concious then you could always sponge down with soapy water, then spray/ wipe with Febreze.
