I've been trying to grow my hair long for ages but it's starting to annoy me. I wanted to grow it long like those Italian/South American footballers but it's taking to long. I'm thinking of getting a French crop which will be easier to look after. What styles do you guys go for, apart from the Bobby charlton.

Haha, Leado, I know someone who sets off out with the Italian football look, but trouble is his hair is receding and it looks ok indoors, but a fresh blast of the North Sea air it ends up like Charlton's.

Like you tried growing my hair out a few times over the years, and whilst I set off with good intentions, I end up looking like a dress down lesbian, same with the beard although that gives me a Chechen rebel look (facial hair seems to grow only around the chin, neck and mouth area) - so tend to stick to some hair on top, and at most 3-4 days stubble.

I had that high and tight (hair on top, shorter sides) for a while about 5-7 years ago, but it's too trendy now. I cut my own hair every few weeks. Let the hair grow out on top and trim the sides. I shaved my head for a while too, and was told surprisingly enough that I suited it, but got tired of it too and wearing anything more than a plain jumper, blue jeans felt like I was showing off. I really should have been a woman for these three paragraphs. There's still time I suppose for that to happen.

The wife and i used to cut each others hair, we were living in Canada and nobody knew us and it was a Kitchen scirrors job the Kids were babies we were skint and never gave a fuck,we fell out and she cut a big clump out ma hair laughed and started running around, happy days[ we went to Tim Hortons had a coffee and a good laugh.now ma hair and beard is Grey.

Approaching a significant birthday and feeling rebellious. Naturally blond, no signs of greying, hair grows fast and thankfully nivver receded. Halfway to shoulder length but fear I might end up looking like 'Garth' from Wayne's World if I continue on this path. Dilemmas
