A few days in Rouen soon (girlfriend is French and from Normandy) plus a work trip to Lithuania at the end of July. That aside, little else in the pipeline for the summer.

Might be going upto Coatbridge later this year for the anniversary, have a 'meeting' with my sister when I'm back she wants to come to Casino with my cousin and I to see our aunt, I said she can if she comes to Coatbridge with me to find where Dad lived .But I'm sure we will argue at our 'meeting' lol

Just got back from the castle in Tuscany.

Lovely place, beautiful countryside and you cant help but trip up over countless stunningly beautiful hilltop towns. Found a restaurant on the top of a hill which serves some of thee greatest food I've ever eaten. Did a bucket list item and went to the top of the leaning tower of Pisa - somewhere I've wanted to go since I was a kid.

Everything was great except for one thing.

The heat, the unrelenting heat. Even by Italian standards it was fucking mental.

Walked past a Pharmacy in Florence at 5pm and noticed it was 40 celcius at 5 fucking PM - god knows what it had been in the middle of the day. Getting round it with the kids was a real hard slog and to be honest we really didn't enjoy it.

Spent the next 2 days in the room with heatstroke.

On the plus side, it was the first booze free holiday I've had and I came back 3KG lighter than when I went.
