Sub.....another Christmas present from a vineyard and indeed from a grape I have never heard off before.

A Mano out of Puglia.

Primitivo.

I might drink it this very evening, depending on what the big girl is cooking.

Sorry, Pet, only just seen this.
Primitivo is near-identical to Zinfandel (some even think it's the same grape) - gives big, rich, ripe flavours. Very big and alcoholic. Needs food - is too much on its own. Not very tannic, though. Almost New World in its jammy fruitiness.
