Re: Driving Lessons
Yes, yes, I failed. To say I'm annoyed is putting it mildly. I obtained 12 minor errors and 2 serious. One for driving too near parked cars and the other for stalling. Though my morning got interesting after the test had ended, during the debrief my instructor who was listening in, rolled his eyes when he saw where I had failed. I was outraged, how dare he? After I challenged him he proceeded to lecture me on not sticking to our 'gameplan'. I said mate, stop, you're sacked. He offered me a lift back home but I refused to even acknowledge him as I walked proudly to the bus stop. The man was a tyrant so I shall be glad to be rid of him.
Can any talkFORUMERS in the North Yorkshire region recommend a decent driving instructor?

Re: Driving Lessons
After a certain power crazed mod threw my other thread into the bin, I shall update you all in here.
To the goaders, naysayers, mischief makers and down right nasty bits of work who told me I could never pass. I politely blow a raspberry to you all. Yes, I passed...and BOY how did I pass.
I shall set the scene a little. This Wednesday past, rain was lashing down on God's own county, the wind was enough to stop a goliath in its tracks and the malevolent threat of severe snowfall was imminent. I however am not the man to let a bit of weather unsettle me, oh no. I drove a faultless test and passed with only 1 minor error - for being too careful at a roundabout (I do not count this as an error as visibility was extremely restricted ) The examiner was gushing with praise at my driving. Seeing someone navigate the roads under such truly diabolical conditions the way I did makes, and I quote, her job 'truly worthwhile.'
What a feeling, and what an achievement...and to rub it into the faces of those who said I would fail. I have posted photographic evidence of my certificate, you shall note that it is indeed framed and takes pride of place in my hallway.

Now I have the motivation I need to leave Yorkshire and attend the greatest Arts and Comedy festival in the world - yes, Edinburgh 2015 here I come

It's not in the bin, it's in a thread where all of the shit goes. Those who goaded you and abused you on that thread have been dealt with.fattmaude wrote:After a certain power crazed mod threw my other thread into the bin, I shall update you all in here.

If you want the problem to go away, then stop issuing demands, stop telling me I'd better do this or that, and stop winding up and inflaming other posters. If you continue with the behaviour that led to a one month ban, and I currently see no sign of that changing, then you are on borrowed time on this forum. You need to ask yourself why you get all of the crap that comes your way, and then look in the mirror for the answer. If you stay out of it abusers of you will be dealt with. If you don't, you will also be dealt with, and your threads and posts will end up in F&G.
I hope you have got all that.
Don't always believe what you think, because sometimes its' a load of shite
