Beeky nivver kow-towed to Big Al, and was somewhat dismissive of him. To me, he comes across as a considered and nice bloke.

What really is it about Scousers getting on radio and TV?

I think Beeky is shit as a broadcaster, only because he offers nothing much of interest (hence he gets paid for appearing on TalkShite). But as a fella he seems pleasant enough.

The kayaking, the rollercoaster, Mansfield and Northampton and versus fat Gaunt are all sublime Beecroft.

Up and down and round and round has to be a second to watching the telly and getting the medals wrong in the kayaking.

Northampton vs. Mansfield and the Olympic Kayaking are both in "Classic Clips H&J Xmas 2006" from mickYNWA, which is probably one of the best ever clips segments (with many Parry/Boozy classics too), but sadly I couldn't find it on youtube. Neither could I find mick's compilation "When Beeky Met Gaunty", Mike Mendoza's montage of their tiffs.

I'll upload them both if no one else can find them online, but whilst looking to see if they're on youtube I did find this, which IMO is H&J in their heyday -
