Can I through the talkFORUM website just say a public thank you to the person or persons at talkSPORT involved in deciding to replace Johnny Vaughan with Matt Forde it's very clear much thought and deliberation has gone into the decision and I'm sure you all would agree with me that they should be justifiably proud of themselves in coming to this magnificent conclusion and send them good wishes.
Will the last listener to leave please turn off the light on their radio when he/she leaves.

Well at least it will be standing room only at a Forde gig for once. The studio only has two seats.

Those out of touch muppets running talkSPORT couldn't make a right decision if it said in big bold letters "RIGHT DECISION" on it.m4rkb wrote:Well at least it will be standing room only at a Forde gig for once. The studio only has two seats.
Forde for Vaughan? ... OMG no no no.
If his career wasn't dead already I think THIS will finally kill it and put us all out of our misery.

Comedy seems to have moved on a lot since we knew it and it's left both of us behind. Back in the day I expected a comedian to make me laugh. All the decent comics have been banned for one thing or another and we're now left with people like Forde whose act is little better than 'why did the chicken cross the road'.Mousehouse wrote:Those out of touch muppets running talkSPORT couldn't make a right decision if it said in big bold letters "RIGHT DECISION" on it.m4rkb wrote:Well at least it will be standing room only at a Forde gig for once. The cunt's useless by traditional standards but apparently one of the best in Britain today.

Re: A Public Thank You
I guess your right mate if present-day audiences were to sit through what we considered the best comedy of times-gone-by they'd probably laugh at it about as much as you and me laugh at Fordey they just wouldn't 'get' the comedy having been brainwashed with today's people who we wouldn't find funny if we'd been forced-fed a tank of strong laughing gas.
I was doing a few jobs in the garage this morning and just for the hell I put talkSPORT on at 11.00 to sample Forde and his new mate on the Warm Up show while I was working away. I didn't think much of the other fella to be honest and it's difficult for me to really pass a proper judgement on Forde due to being totally biased against him but I will say I have heard worse shows, yes I've heard Dungham and Brazil and Goldstein and Quinn and Cork.
The show content wasn't that bad, sadly Forde's over-excitement at almost everything was, he acts like a little boy at times squealing and giggling, I really don't think he's a bad bloke if be known, I don't hate him personally it's just that he's so poor at everything he does.

Matt Forde needs the ego trimming Moyles underwent post Radio 1. Moyles is by no means improved on 'X' - I still can't truly listen to him - but he didn't make me want to kick my speaker to pieces when I last happened on him...

It says rather a lot about you Billy that you find excitement in a presenter an undesirable quality.
If Fordey could bottle his trademark enthusiasm the world (and this forum ) would be a much happier place.
