Good stuff fatts. I'm fine and dandy, just like Amos 'n' Andy to paraphrase the Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy.

Everyone is out or on holiday or elsewhere. Maybe Forde's alleged return can bring them back and together. :?

As per the original Forde thread, I've always stated it will return if he returns, permanently. I have no beef with Forde as shown by my bumping his 'Sports Show' thread.

Also as per my opening comments in the 'Catterall' thread, he ain't great and his stand in for MG and Parry roundly considered awful.

But the 'Extra Time....' thread cannot return here until he does. Many more want the RIIAC thread back but we must have some sort of order. Have a bonny weekend old chum.

I've seen some of the hopefuls doing these comedy rounds and to say they die an agonising death on stage is an understatement. Most of them are off before the bottles start landing on stage because they limit the performance to about two minutes.

Forde can at least last beyond this tragic point by today's standards so is acclaimed as a top comic. Whizzer and Chips was a better comic.
I just don't get why he's getting all this publicity everywhere [I honestly mean it I don't] his act is terrible and I think I've seen enough of it to offer that opinion, how is he getting all this work he's supposedly getting?. Or is he getting it?, we only know he did Edinburgh and "sold out" from being told it by others, we keep hearing he's appearing here, there and everywhere but what do we ever see him appearing on? ... virtually nuffin.

If he's so funny and popular why isn't he appearing in the top clubs and places?, why isn't he on TV doing this great comedy sharing his talent with the world?, if he's so brilliant as an entertainer why is he trudging his fat carcass back to talkSPORT do to the burglars shift in the dead of the night again after his long break?.

All I can say is it's just a great blessing he's broadcasting when 80% of the country are all in bed incapacitated through being unconscious by sleep putting everyone out of danger of having to hear the pie munching big fat lump.

Are we ever going to find out, as the leading political comedian, who exactly he is ahead of?

Well lets face it, the act doesn't have to be up to much does it. :D

Some agreeabe comments on tuesdays 2Mikes about comedians towards the end of the programme which I felt were quite true. MG was going on about watching a 'household name' comedian and thinking if this wasn't a top named comedian doing this they'd be chucking thinks on stage by now to get him off as the entire routine wasn't particularly funny. It was Eddie Izzard if you're wondering.

Porky then commented about similar 'comedians standing there thinking they're doing some clever routine yet absolutely no one is laughing. This is Forde all over. No one ever laughs, unless it's the kind of nervous laughter usually associated with embarrassment or having a gun put to your head and being made to. And the material isn't comedy material as such, it's political satire.

I've made a study of Forde's material a few years back over at the DS thread with Billy and it took three years for any to surface on youtube such was the quality of it. Even then it was bloody awful.

Good for The 2 Mikes , there isn't enough criticism or opinion given on tv, radio or newspapers to how dire some of these '' five minute wonder '' stand ups, who think they are gods gift to comedy, actually really are.

If anyone has ever seen one of these stand up shows on tv or heard them on Radio 4 ,the compere goes completely overboard in introducing one of them on stage, as if he is making up for the quality of their act.

'' And now ladies and gentlemen won't you welcome onto the stage please a very funny and hilarious man.Yes he is a fabulous ,a fantastic ,out of this world top, top comedian . He was recently the talk of the Edinburgh Festival and was awarded a top prize by Pizza Hut, yes here he is the wonderful, the outrageous Tommy Cockles ''....

These stand ups deserve parody on the highest level but no one seems brave enough to do it.

Was doing some research tonight Mark for another project I'm currently on with and needed to know what the 7 wonders of the world were, not quite remembering or to say the truth not even really knowing the answers I looked it up and was astonished to see there's now EIGHT, .... yes they've added him to the list.

1. Great Pyramid of Giza.
2. Temple of Artemis at Ephesus.
3. Hanging Gardens of Babylon.
4. Lighthouse of Alexandria.
5. Statue of Zeus at Olympia.
6. Mausoleum at Halicarnassus.
7. Colossus of Rhodes.
8. Matt Forde comedy act.

Not really, more a reflection on how desperate the BBC are.

Rory Bremner does loads of very good impressions which often have a comical dialog.

Fat boy does one and that's of someone who hasn't been seen for months and hopefully never will be seen again. How I wish he could incorporate this latter trait into his entire dismal 'act'

I think it just shows how far Rory Bremner has fallen in his career [but at least he's had a career in it I suppose] Mr Forde simply isn't funny and I bet Bremner knows that but he needed a political comedian on the show and let's face it who else was there and cheap as well?.

There was another Sports Party last Monday with a rugby player. But as I don't think anything of the guy or respect towards him I'm not going to say who it was. Agent Sky Andrew was the other guest on the show however.

Old Adam Catterall did not give a goodbye like a man leaving his duty forever. Most queer, can old fatts put any meat to his sources bone?

One will give this thread time, but a no show will mean a merge elsewhere. But hey, shoot the messenger or not, not me.

His 'duty' was filling in for Fordey whilst he ripped it up at Edinburgh. Mr Catterill knows his place in the pecking order.

Are we going to have to go through this every year Carlos mate ?

If Forde or Talksport cannot simply say, Matt Forde is off in Edinburgh and will be back sometime in September, then yes, sadly, fats mate, we will go through this every year.

Matt Forde/Talksport. Transparency is King.

Where be Fordey?
