I wish Nick Abbot was given Ian's slot on a permanent basis. He's a better presenter. Nick and I think alike on many subjects and he understands human nature better than Collins, but then Nick does have a degree in psychology. Ian didn't go to university.

The Colonel is a bit lightweight for my tastes. Never had much substance to him.

Collins was better at more light-hearted topics and current affairs rather than the serious polidical tisucssion he does now.

the other night when talking about that Banking wanker who got sent down he must have said "in the chiller" about 10 times, definite contender.

I agree.

The professor persona has to go.

Ian, I know you're reading this, drop the pseudo intelligent political academic shite and lighten-up. I know your partner's a successful businesswoman and that you're now a dad, but that need not mean we can't have Aussie-face-spitting-hand-shaking stories like the good old days. You're now a serious man, too serious. :(

The Colonel had Charlie 'Baghdad Chaz' Wolf on tonight talking about Iraq. Like Talksport 2003 :D

Lots of 'fella' action tonight too.

Afriend and I came back from the pub, in the glory days of youth, the mid 00s - bombarded Wolf with emails full of Partridge quotes, pre Twitter revoluntionaries back then.

No avail really apart from "is it a full moon tonight?" and "there's a lot of wackos out there".

The Colonel has to join talkRADIOSPORT2 or whatever it's called, and get back to his old jovial *whistlesound* self.

I've got to hold my hand up and say I'm a fan of his show again I find it very enjoyable. The lad's had a few bad weeks losing his mother and will be going through it right now I messaged him my condolences the other day.

I like Collins, but I must admit it's a bonus when Nick Abbot replaces him. :)

tuning in to LBC to listen to Collins as an alternative to the disgrace that is talkSport at 10pm through the week has brought an added bonus - Nick Collins....my type of presenter....head an shoulders above Collins and far wittier too

Has Collins become far more right wing since his TS days or is that just the general trend in England these days?

Really wish Abbot was to replace Collins full time...allowing Collins to cover his holidays only
