Yep. She was a travel dolly, fair maiden of Fiji, wannabe journo from happening Brighton. H&J did some patter, remember nana Nand on the Wirral? Got her a section, sometime later got the queerest of combos with the Colonel in the graveyard shift which is too good for the man down Westminister way, and absolutely no connection between them, poor Colonel flustered. Then she left and did other journo stuff.

H&J then tried the same schtick with Jerina before being told no chat, and poor Jerina is still a travel dolly.
Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Maybelline.

CotN was probably the best all night radio show for years.
Same here. Slumming in Westminster with the Colonel's finest, fella.

I was a hiuge fan of his COTN show. Would listen every night.

These days Collins is on LBC at the weekend. I sent him a tweet saying he did well hiding his love for the Tories. He tweeted back saying he was a member of the Green Party. He's now further to the right than ever before. Money changes people.

I can't imagine Collins has much money.

COTN was an excellent listen though, back when Talk actually had some decent output. I was never a big fan of Whale but Christ he's a billion times better than that utter shit in his slot right now.

Obviously I don't know how much money he has these days, but I reckon he's doing OK for himself. He's been working in radio a long time.

I called the COTN show and spoke to Collins a few times. He was always reasonable. I only listen to LBC these days. I gave up on TS a long time ago.

COTW C.1998 is, IMHO, the closest UK radio has come to truly emulating Howard Stern. Post 2002 IC, sans Miff (that friendship seemed to end rather abruptly?!?) was/is shite.

Collins was an utter Cunt, his show was fuckin garbage, just like Dickin, Whale and Gaunt...Set of Twats...The "Ted" clip really gets up my nose, He was just being an ignorant prick....Chessy did a music review on H n J for a short while...not very good.

The Colonel seems like Jacob Bronowski nowadays compared to the window lickers infesting the station these days.

One thing I did like about the Colonel was he would sometimes let wind up merchants have their say, he certainly did the night this fruitbat got through.

Its hard to believe that its nearly 20 years since i heard the first CotN shows while working long night shifts in a sock factory.
I was instantly hooked.
Last I heard Mikey was a top producer on 6music, ans we all know the heartbreaking story of Sarah, but what about Miff and Kev?
It that Kev the same one as he has on his podcasts? I havent heard them yet, i must give them a go.

Friday Nights on LBC . Heavily on the politico sadly, so no room for fun and japes and frivolity , and less serious horse-play.

His shows were good when comparing them to the piss being churned out these days. Dunno why he thought he was a politics expert though - he clearly isn't.

I listened to Collins from his first show on TR. Like you, I was there listening each night for years. I called the show and spoke to Collins several times and I had my emails read on air too. It was a great show back then.

As said, these days Collins can be found on LBC each Friday and Saturday. Usually always politics. Kev, the knob with the posh Scottish accent, can be found on Ian's LBC podcasts. His podcasts are shite, by the way.

I tweeted him about the old days last year and he replied to me saying it was time to move on from TR. I also had a pop at him for his pro-Tory leanings and he said that he was anti-Labour, not pro-Tory, adding that he was now a member of the Green Party.

As I said earlier in this thread, he's now a dad. He's grown up. He's moved on. We have our memories.

I was a listener back in the day too there were some good shows if my memory is not rose tinted like it can when people look back. It surprises me he's gone green I always thought he was tory and would forever remain tory, if I still listened to him on LBC I would be listening for him dropping hints he's now green.

The Green Party tweet did surprise me. Always had him down as a Tory. Even on LBC he comes across as a right-winger, that's why I tweeted him about his pro-Tory bias. But if he says he's Green then I guess he's Green.
