Somebody has already said, I forget who or where, "enjoy this while it lasts" and those are words I am taking to heart.
I will keep praying to Cthulhu, Nurgle or the great noodly appended one that we are not listening to TalkSPORT3 in a year's time.

Iain Lee is the best presenter on the station.
Jon Holmes has been excellent! Shame I didn't know much about before!

Listened to Paul Ross this morning and it was dire. Now listening to JHB who is far too talented for this station. It's obvious she has to dumb down her approach for the demographic that TR is aiming for.
Or am I just to old for radio lads banter? Whoever called it BedroomFM got it right lol.

My first experience of tR was this morning. Tuned in and the first 4 words I heard from the presenter were: 'Lol. Lol. Lol. Lol.'
He then played a jingle - 15 seconds of someone doing an unfunny stand up routine - and came back to the mic with the line 'Lols'

Re: talkRADIO Thread
Had my first experimental listen last night/overnight. Hearing chunks of the station, I can so far conclude:
- The Brothers Gould was very, very boring - somehow 'Ash' is even duller in this more prominent role.
- Iain Lee was occasionally (accidentally?) entertaining, but only when his show reminded me of Ian Collins at his silliest and with silly callers. Most of the time he was unexpectedly shouty and bland, featuring banal topics that wouldn't go amiss with the some of the shit threads I start on here, my excuse being I start them when bored shiteless and I'm not employed by a national radio station.
- However, one big positive was the lack of repetition of stories to discuss, and the lack of obsession with the Premier League. The two shows I heard chunks of were vastly different in content and style, and a welcome change from the obsessive shite on talkSPORT.
Further experiments will take place.

Switched on TR while out for a walk at lunchtime but it was some Dermot O'Leary soundalike talking about Captain Kirk's lovelife. Ten minutes and clicky off but no big deal as I was never in the habit of listening to the radio during the day anyway. Will continue to listen to Iain Lee though.

Abomination of a show this morning just after 8 a.m. Some total wankstation doing a fifth-rate Ali G impression.
Never thought I'd hear someone who made Quinn sound articulate by comparison.
