Sure it's not a one-off episode like last year. Gone off old Benedict after he decided to enter the political arena , so his political stance
has soured my enjoyment of this in the future. Still not a patch on Basil Rathbone, Peter Cushing or Jeremy Brett.

The last one was so up itself (as is Benedict Cumberbatch - who?) that I won't bother with it any more.

A girl I work with recommended it. Ive just started watching the second series. The episodes with taxi driver and that introduced Moriarty were very good. I didn't not enjoy the banker episode so much.

They've gone too far making Sherlock an autistic sociopath. All the best portrayals hinted at his 'strangeness' but this version is too unlikeable.
Still a decent show compared to most terrestrial output.

It panders way too much to the rabid internetz fanbase: the first episode in the third series was an errr case in point. No spoilers as thelead-o won't have seen it ;)

I agree that it's still very watchable though.

Will watch but as per and as others, far too up its own fundament.

The first series was best in my opinion. Prefer 'Elementary' anyway.

Love me Holmes. .

Thanks for that. I think I'll give it a miss. I was tempted to fire-up the Iplayer later. Now I'll just stick to my original plan and give 'dry Janruary the big 'f-u'.

It's silly they don't reveal how he faked his death in episode 1 of series 3. I enjoyed the Baskerville episode

I enjoyed it. Guessed the kid in the car but didn't see the ending coming

It's a Three part series the third episode should be the most interesting. It's the only one of the Doyle books where Moffatt and Gattiss haven't changed the title.

It's called the Final Problem and was the last book Doyle wrote about Holmes as he killed both Sherlock and Moriarty off at Reichenbach Falls

I liked it, despite the plot being less convoluted than previous plots.

If you mean where he fell off a building, that was explained adequately in a later episode.

Every man and his dog knows he didn't die at the Reichenbach Falls because Doyle brought him back in the next book (The Adventure of the Empty House), unless you're pulling a Stephen Fry/QI-style trick about what constitutes a "book"! :P

If an actor's political leanings are going to stop you watching shows, you won't be watching much in future, then.
Most actors are left-leaning luvvies, you must know that…
