Boney M

Post by kancutlawns »

Watched Christmas TOTP 2 today with the usual hits but "live" on TOTP. Loved watching Daddy Cool by Boney M.

A massively underrated act but I guess I was only a wee lad when they were in their pomp. Found out today that Bobby died six years ago. Heard two stories obviously.

Anyone know any decent dance moves to Rasputin or Ma Baker? You just see class like that these days with shit like Sam Smith, Ed Sheehan or Little Mix.

Thought Daddy Cool was by Darts?
I have greatest respect for Rugby Union, they started it mid-way through the 19th century. Thankfully we grabbed it and turned it into a spectacle on 29th August 1895

Ah, Boney M. Conclusive proof that there is at least one black man that can't dance.

Same date as Rasputin, as reported on here a week or so ago. Those two cats really are gone now.

Saw them at the "Chingford family fun day" along with ABC and a fat, out of breath Michael Jackson tribute act 2 years ago, not sure how many were left of the originals but they still had it, played all their hits and the crowd loved them, they're obviously still "on the circuit" and worth a free entry.

Met them. One of the women could drink like a champ. Can't remember her name now and can't be bothered using Google. Lovely people though. Stocking up the bar/nightclub years ago. Place in Bangor they were playing that night and they were in warming up etc.

Done some decent tunes as well. They are huge in Germany they were saying. Not sure about now as that was yonks ago.
