Back in 1982 in my 2nd year of corporate life, Amex hired Bob for their annual conference in Bournemouth ('Join a top American company and see the South coast').

His act was embarrassingly blue - OTT really.

It was funny but people were looking around at each other as if to say, 'Can you believe this?'

Not very Ben Elton who was just around the corner with the new wave.
