Three great films there. Saw a picture of him on Mailonline and he looked pretty good for 100. Nice to see there are several films on Film4 etc today.

Moving pictures are recorded onto film.
Technically, movies is correct - it's only annoying because we associate it with being American. Really, it isn't, in origin.

Good old Issur and his dimpled chin. The lovely CZ-J through forced grins at birthday celebrations thinking, fuck, another 30 odd years of the son and diaper changing.

Films, movies - A few days back, my brother went into short rant about people using the term Train Station. I was a bit thrown by this and carefully asked him what he wanted.
'There're RAILWAY stations, not train stations, he insisted'.
You can use the railway to get to the cinema to watch a film or if you want, you could take the train to the movie house and watch a movie.

Re: Kirk Douglas
There are all sorts of rumours about old Kirk that have been doing the rounds inHollywood for years, really really nasty rumours. Not kiddy related at least - as far as I know - but equally as heinous.

The sister of the person who he was alleged to have done something to said years ago that loads will come out about Kirk when he finally passes away.Basualdo wrote:There are all sorts of rumours about old Kirk that have been doing the rounds inHollywood for years, really really nasty rumours. They are railway stations, tennisman. Your brother is quite correct. God bless him and at least the buses here still say railway station when going there.tennisman wrote:Films, movies - A few days back, my brother went into short rant about people using the term Train Station. Fucking hell. Train station train station train station.
Re Koik Douglas, read some stuff about him on gossip sites, most persistent rumour concerns Natalie Wood.
Read an article about Michael Douglas recently and it doesn't seem like he had much of a relationship with Kirk growing up and that he considered his step father to be more of a father figure to him.

The Jean Spangler disappearance is the one to google for one of Kirk's most obvious involvement.

Re: Kirk Douglas
Yeah and they're called train stations in my world and not sure why there are hand wringing essays out there about what they should be called. Then again, Internet...
Btw I was on the train to Belfast a few weeks back Bas and it wasn't the Enterprise as per because Good Old Enterprise had been struggling getting up a hill at Newry in the cold weather and had to be switched out with a different train. Aren't we a great little island altogether though
