Red dwarf
the new series starts later in the month on Dave channel . I hope it's not too disappointing . Sometimes I think you shouldn't bring old series back

Re: Red dwarf
The trailer for the new series is fucking grim. Craig Charles' character, the cheeky scouse reject from 'Why Don't You' looks like he's descended into an ex-crackhead middle-aged bloated depressed cunt (he's playing himself in other words). Barrie looks like he is grinning-and-baring-it for the money. It really is fucking sad, I won't be watching it.
PS. My missus (poor cunt) met Chris Barrie at one of those convention things and had nothing but good things to say about the fella.

Re: Red dwarf
Kochanski? Or Holly? Kochanski fucked it all up, as women tend to do, I agree. 4 blokes farting, wanking and telling vaguely misogynistic and homophobic jokes works a treat, stick a woman into the mix and it always goes tits-up what with their feminist 'the female unicorn Germaine Greer' bollocks. Fuck off.m4 colin wrote:Great till that tart pitched up ........Went orf after that

My brother was a big fan and as we only had one TV I ended up seeing all the early episodes on VeeAitchEss multiple times. I read the books too and enjoyed them.AlcoholBrazil wrote:Enjoyed the original books. More detailed . How Lister was recruited. A whole volume on Better than Life living virtual lives.

I used to read the Smegazine too now that I think about it
Haven't seen the last couple of BBC series never mind the last Dave series and I think I'll keep it like that.

I only watched it in order to jack off over posh Julia St. John in a pleated skirt. I have no idea what the programme was about.kancutlawns wrote:Went off that cunt Barrie completely after he was on that utter abortion of a show The Brittas Empire.

Re: Red dwarf
It's fucking shite and camp which masquerades as a sitcom. It's about a Hitler like manager of an underperforming leisure centre full of dim-witted, unemployable individuals. Watch it from time to time on Gold to see if it can possibly get any better. Julia St John was in the Harry Enfield Show a long time back as one half of the married couple who hate each other. Wish that Micky and Jorge could be like them instead of all the nicey nicey shite.

Such sentiment would engender wit and self-deprecation, both of which traits are sadly lacking from said individuals. I feel sorry for Georgie, somuchso I'd even consider hate-fucking her. But no, she's cast her pot. And the pot is dark and terribly endless. The 'good-cop, bad-cop' format would work wonders for this pair, but sadly the production team at TalkSport are, for want of a better adjective, UTTER CUNTS.kancutlawns wrote:Wish that Micky and Jorge could be like them instead of all the nicey nicey shite.

Re: Red dwarf
Loved Red Dwarf back in the day, had all the series on VHS. Well written, funny and clever with a great cast.
Went downhill after the split between the two writers in 1995. Should have been left with 'Out of Time' as the last episode.

Re: Red dwarf
I'm actually looking forward to this. I met Chris Barrie twice myself and got his autograph and picture taken with the man and he is such a nice gentleman! And I also met Danny as well, he was nice! I have high hopes this will be good but they do need to end it before we basically get Senior Citizens running about in space. As per the Kochankski issue, why hasn't she reappeared in any of the new series?

Agreed. Much better than anything from the last series, which felt like a collection of old catchphrases.theleader82 wrote:I enjoyed the new episode tonight. A return to form for the star bug boys.
This new episode(whilst not as funny) could easily have come from series iii or iv.
