Strewth......you can bugger me sideways in Woolomaloo if this ain't the most nerve wracking week on TV ever.

I am now into the explosion episodes and Erinsborough is in turmoil.

Poor old Josh Willis has bought it.

He sacrificed his own chances of survival by giving Dr. Karl....about whom more anon.....the go ahead to move a beam under which he was trapped and which had impaled him on a metal rod through his kidney, in order that his best mate Daniel Robinson (son of Charlene and Scott) might be freed from under the same beam and taken to hospital for life saving treatment.

In a heart wrenching final scene the Willis family gathered around their doomed kinsman in the middle of the debris to hold his hand as he slipped free of this mortal coil.....his ex girl friend and mother of his infant daughter, a daughter conceived on the night said ex girl friend was supposed to be getting married to aforementiones best mate Daniel Robinson as it happens, joined them via FaceTime from Queensland and he recorded a message to his infant daughter telling her how much he loved her.

One member of the family was missing however.....his grandad, Doug Willis, is unaccounted for and I fear the worst.

But as ever in Erinsborough, the hero of the hour is Dr. Karl.

When the blast occurred we saw Dr. Karl, who had previously received a phone call and told an obvious porky to get out the house without his dear wife Susan, very furtively approach the door of a room in Lassiter's and was about to knock on it.

He never went in at this stage because the world's greatest GP went into action immediately, saving lives and succouring the afflicted.

Head injuries, blast trauma, broken limbs, low blood pressure in the case of Hilary Robinson.....all treated by the magic hands of Dr. Karl.

And then he went back to the hotel room he had been about to enter.

And who should br there but the woman who caused the breakdown and eventual divorce of his marriage to Susan several years ago.....Sarah Beaumont, whom was once the receptionist in his GP practice.

(in case anyone is confused at this stage, Dr. Karl and Susan subsequently made up and re-married)

So the lecherous arl bugger was there in the first place to see an old shagging partner.

But as he led her out of the room, she had hurt her foot and was limping, Sarah and Dr. Karl looked at each other as if to say their is still a bit of passion left there and I for one think that in the midst of all this carnage, Dr. Karl is making plans to seduce Sarah.

And she certainly seems to be up for it.

Meanwhile, say a little prayer that Doug turns up safe and well.

In fact I dont think anyone who has been born in Australia has ever stepped in front of the business end of a camera....and come to think of it Im not sure anyone has ever been born in Australia, no one of any worth anyway. Even AC/DC were founded by 2 Glasgow born brothers, a Kiwi drummer and the original vocalist from Kirriemuir, in Angus, who was later replaced by a Geordie and he soon to be replaced (temporarily at least) by a nutjob from Hitusa's neck of the midwest woods. Nothing else of musical merit has emanated from Oz.

I think Todd's girl friend was Cody Willis.....daughter of Doug and whom was inspired to become a doctor due to the influence of Dr. Karl.

Sadly she died as well

Doug turned up seemingly safe and well.

And with his estranged grandson in tow.

Brad found them and embraced his long lost son.

But then Doug up and died

Right there on the lawn outside the Waterhole.

It was a heart attack so severe even Dr. Karl couldn't save him.

And as Brad and his newly returned son cradled each other as they grieved over the Willis patriarch, his ghost appeared behind them.....smiled approvingly, then turned and walked off into the afterglow.

Just like Todd all those years ago.

But the next thing we find out is The Toadster is missing......and the cameras cut to him laying in Lassiter's, unconscious and buried under heaps of debris.

To comes too, but notices a huge slab of masonry slowly breaking through the ceiling above him and poised to fall right on his head.

Oh boy.

It is almost like this is were we came in on this fred.......praying for Toadie.

You could not make this type of drama up.
